DOGRA COLLEGE OF EDUCATION ORGANISED “PLANTATION DRIVE”

Environmental club of Dogra College of Education organized plantation drive in the premises of Dogra Educational complex on 25th of April, 2022 wherein 69 students of B.Ed. course session, 2021-23 participated and planted 69 saplings. The occasion started with a welcome address given by Mrs. ShwetaPadha, Student of B.Ed. 1st Semester (Session 2021-23). On this occasion Mrs. JyotiRaina, lecturer environmental science of Dogra College of Education highlighted the importance of such plantation which plays an important role in rural as well as urban areas. She said that it is not only the duty of single person but for all to put efforts in order to make our surrounding neat and clean not only for the present but for the future also.Kr. Samar Dev Singh CharakJee Secretary, DET motivated the students to take earnest steps towards making the environment a better place to live in. He further added the importance of trees. He appreciated the efforts of the studentswho participated and contributed in this drive by planting different plants and to make this drive successful. Dr. Darshana Sharma, Director, Dogra Group of Colleges also encouraged the students for participating in such type of events which is already a part of curriculum also. She motivated the students to plant more and more trees. The drive involved various aboriginal saplings medicinal and aesthetic value. It was rather an attempt to educate the students to create and maintain pollution free environment. During the drive students environment Club planted the saplings and ensure to save the ecosystem. Thus the drive concluded with motivational spirit among the students.Prominent among others present in the programme included Dr. Vikesh Kumar Sharma, Principal Dogra College of Education, Dr. Shefali Sharma IQAC/Academic Coordinator Dogra College of Education, and faculty members of Dogra College of Education.
