DCE organized 3 Day "Faculty Exchange Programme" with District Institute of Education & Training (Samba)

Dogra College of Education organized a series of extension lectures under the Faculty Exchange Programme with District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Samba on the topics “Development of language skills, Different skills used in teaching-learning process and National Education Policy (NEP), 2020” by Mrs. Anupama Sharma, Sr. lecture English, Mrs. PoonamChib, Teacher, S.st and Mrs. Neelam Gupta, HOD, Education on 20-06-2022, 22-06-2022 and 23-06-2022 respectively. On the first day, the extension lecture started with the welcome address given by Mrs. Roshy Sharma, lecturer, Dogra College of Education. The resource person Smt. Anupama Sharma addressed the topic of Development of Language Skills and emphasized that language skills are essential for the successful future career of the students and reading, writing, and listening carefully are the three most important language skills for the linguistic development of the students. On the second day, the resource person, Mrs. Poonam Chib delivered her lecture on the different skills used in the teaching-learning process and highlighted how hard and soft skills help a teacher to make the teaching more effective and interactive. Dr. Darshana Sharma, Director, Dogra Group of Colleges in her concluding remarks expressed her sincere gratitude and appreciation towards the resource person. On the third consecutive day, the resource person Mrs. Neelam Gupta spoke on the topic of National Education Policy (NEP), 2020 and she focused on the importance of NEP, 2020 in the present scenario. She also highlighted the main features of the New Education Policy. After the lecture, Dr. Vikesh Kumar Sharma, Principal, Dogra College of Education in his concluding remarks said that such kind of lectures provide us a very useful platform to exchange information, ideas, and experiences in an effective manner. Prominent among those present on this occasion were Dr. Darshana Sharma, Director, Dogra Group of Colleges, Dr. Shefali Sharma, Academic Coordinator, Dogra College of Education, and faculty members. Students of B.Ed. Sem-II and IV were present on the occasion. A formal vote of thanks was presented by Mrs. Shivali Mehta, lecturer, Dogra College of Education who thanked the revered speakers for delivering thought-provoking lectures.
