DOGRA DEGREE COLLEGE ORGANIZED ONLINE POSTER MAKING COMPETITION AND DEBATE COMPETITION

Commerce Department of Dogra Degree College organised a webinar on theme "Elimination of Child labour" action pledges (Act now and end child Labour) on 12th of june 2021 for World against child labour day. This year’s World Day Against Child Labour focuses on action taken for the 2021 International Year for the Elimination of Child Labour- Act now and end Child labour. It is the first World Day since the universal ratification of the ILO’s Convention No. 182 on the Worst Forms of Child Labour, and takes place at time when the COVID-19 crisises threatens to reverse years of progress on tackling the problem. World Day Against Child Labour aims to focus attention on the global extent of child labor and the action and efforts needed to eliminate it. Each year on 12th June, the World Day brings together government, employers and workers organizations, civil society, as well as millions of people from and around the world to highlight the plight of child laborers and what can be done to help them. The event was divided into two parts one was Presentation by Participants and another Poster making competition to lead the event ahead.. Students shared their views through presentation and by making posters and at the end event was concluded with the prizes distribution to outstanding performance with first position hold by Janvi Gupta of BA 6th sem, second position by David Singh B.com 6th sem and third position by Ritika Kundal of BA 2nd sem & Daksh Bhargav of B.Com 2nd sem for Presesntation and in Poster making competition first position owned by Komal Kundal of B.com 4th Sem, second position by Bhumika Sharma of bba 6th Sem & Numan Khan of B.com 2nd Sem and third position by Prabjot Kour of B.com 4th Sem & Bhavaya of BBA 2nd Sem. Principal mam shared personal views over the topic and also motivated students to act fruitful for the elimination of child labour
