The event was organized under the support of Mrs. Bela Thakur, the Principal by Miss Simran Devi, Lecturer in Environmental Science.
The topic, “Animal Tissue culture and Biowaste Management” was chosen from a point of view to acquaint students (under the syllabus of Environmental Studies-II) with practical work of management of bio-waste in laboratories and also to build an insight of students of non-science background with the scientific research as our speaker is herself a researcher. The presentation showed how the experiments are conducted in laboratories with animals and further how the bio-waste is sterilized, stored and disposed off with proper methods.
It was a very lively interaction although it ran on an online platform.
