ONLINE SPECIAL LECTURE ON THE EVE OF WORLD HEALTH DAY ORGANISED BY DOGRA DEGREE COLLEGE

Online special lectures were organised by Dogra Degree College, Bari Brahmana on the eve of World Health Day 2022. The event was deliberately planned on an online platform to involve students on preparatory leave for exams. The event was organised by Ms. Simran Devi Asst. Professor in Environmental Sciences and Ms. Aradhana Sharma, Departmental Incharge of Management under the guidance and support of principal, Ms. Bela Thakur. All the students of BA, B.Com and BBA were present in the session along with the faculty members of each department.

The session began with a welcome address to the speakers and ended with a formal vote of thanks by Ms. Aradhana Sharma. The speakers of the session were Mr. Navneet Singh, Lecturer in Political Sciences, who presented on the topic, “The Healthcare System in Pre and Post Independent India”. He shared the information on primary, secondary and tertiary levels of the health care system in India. The second speaker was Mr. Mehul Rajput, Lecturer in Environmental Sciences, who presented on the topic, “Various Health Schemes in India”. He talked about health schemes such as Ayushmann Bharat Yojana, Janani Suraksha Yojana and other very important health initiatives started by the Indian government to upgrade the health system in India.

Both the speakers were well versed with their topics and the knowledge shared was beneficial to the students.

Overall, the session was a successful one and updated the concepts of the participants.
