Dogra Degree College, Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana, Samba organized a Visit to Ved Mandir Bal Niketan Amphala on the 7th of March 2020. 40 students from department of BBA/B.Com/B.A accompanied by Ms. Kanchan Dubey, Ms. Neha Verma and Ms. Aditi Khajuria Lecturers of Dogra Degree College paid a visit to Ved Mandir and celebrated Holi with the student residents. Students of Dogra Degree College namely Saloni (B.Com 2nd Sem), Chehak (B.A 2nd Sem), Nasir (B.A 2nd Sem) and Samanjeet (BBA 2nd Sem) cracked jokes and sang songs and mingled with the students of Bal Niketan. Eatables and stationary items were distributed amongst the students by the staff and students of the College. Student volunteers of Bal Niketan also presented dances and celebrated Holi with the student visitors from Dogra Degree College.
The motive of organizing the visit was to imbibe the feeling of oneness, sharing and giving back to the society amongst the youngsters. The college students were happy after interacting with students of Bal Niketan and sense of being able to contribute for a cause by helping the under privileged was developed in them. The visiting staff and students felt that the most satisfying part of the visit was spending time with children and their care takers.
