PROF. NEELAM SARAF, UNIVERSITY OF JAMMU AND DR. NEENA GUPTA, CENTRAL UNIVERSITY MARK THEIR PRESENCE IN ROLE PLAY EVENT ON THE TOPIC “VICTORIES AND STRUGGLES OF WOMEN”

Dogra Degree College organized role play on the theme “Victories and
Struggles of Women” in college auditorium on 15/03/2021. The event began with
lamp lighting ceremony by the dignitaries followed by welcome address by Ms.
Priyanka Sharma, Lecturer in English, Dogra Degree College. The various role
played in the event were Indira Gandhi by Ms. Janvi, Habba Khatoon by Ms. Aksa, Bachendri Pal by Ms. Mohit, Sehmat Khan by Ms. Muskan, Kalpana Chawla by Ms. Pallavi, Priya Jingan by Ms. Akshita, Amrita Pritam by Ms. Saloni, Padma Sachdev by Ms. Neharika, Vandana Shiva by Ms. Janvi & Lal Ded by Ms. Ritika.
Prof. Neelam Saraf, Department of Hindi, University of Jammu who was also the chief guest on the occasion expressed her views on the topic “The Victories and Struggles of Women in the area of Hindi literature” with special reference to writers and poets who have written on women related issues. She also appreciated all the young role players who bought to life the character they
played.
Dr. Neena Gupta Vij, Department of English, Central University of Jammu who was the special invitee on the occasion threw light on the topic “The Victories and Struggles of Women in the area of English literature” with special reference to writers from all over who presented the woman’s perspective of the world. In her address she spoke about the four eras of feminism.
