NCC CADETS OF DOGRA DEGREE COLLEGE HELP IN SMOOTH CONDUCT OF IMMUNIZATION DRIVE IN PHC, BASSI KALAN

NCC Cadets of Dogra Degree College volunteered to help in the smooth conduct
of vaccination drive at the Physical Health Centre Bassi Kalan. The activity was
undertaken by the cadets to mark the National Vaccination Day which is
celebrated on 16 th March every year to sensitize people about immunization. 20
NCC Cadets accompanied with Mr. Rajinder Kumar & Mr. Jeevan Lal, ANOs/CTOs
of Dogra Group of Colleges which falls under army wing of 4 th J&K Battalion,
Jammu got a chance to interact with the medical team of the Health and
Wellness Centre Bassi Kalan which is also centre undertaking COVID-19
immunization in an around the area. Dr. Sangeeta, Visiting Medical Officer
interacts with NCC Cadet and briefed them about the Do’s and Don’ts to prevent
the spread of COVID-19 and also shared with them that, the National Vaccination
Day is important as the country has started its biggest Covid-19 immunization
programme early this year. The Cadets assisted the medical team of Medical
Officer, Dr. Seema Ejaz; Health Inspector Mr. Charanjit Singh and Pharmacist Mr.
Kamal Singh to undertake the immunization drive at the PHC Unit in keeping with
the theme of this year’s world immunization week 2021,”Vaccines bring us
closer” to promote the importance of vaccination in bringing people together,
and improving the health and wellbeing of everyone, everywhere throughout life.
